Michele de Lucchi
Michele De Lucchi (1951- ) started studied architecture at Padua University and Florence University before forming Cavart, a radical design group, in 1973. Later, he worked as a designer at Centrokappa, the proprietary Kartell design studio, and joined the Studio Alchimia designers. In 1979, De Lucchi designed several pieces that were shown at the Milan Triennale. In the 1980s, he joined the Memphis designer group and founded a small business for making his signature white glass lighting. In the 1990s, De Lucchi designed branches of Deutsche Bank and the Deutsche Bahn travel center in Frankfurt.
